EHP Labs Oxywhey
Ever hear of the globally-recognized fat-burning thermogenic supplement called 'OxyShred'? Well, you may have already guessed it, but OxyWhey is created by the same exact company that makes OxyShred! Based off of that credential alone, you can probably understand how reliable and effective this supplement is. But what makes OxyWhey as good, if not better, than your average whey protein product? Interestingly enough, there are a couple of factors that play into it:
OXYWHEY CONTAINS AMINO ACIDS!
One of the main benefits of EHP Labs' OxyWhey is that every serving of this supplement is dosed with 5.3g of BCAAs. What does that mean exactly? Well, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) are nutrients that our bodies are not able to make on their own, meaning we must attain them from outside sources.
BCAAs are especially used for enhancing muscle protein synthesis after workouts. So, if you're looking to get that extra "muscle pump" so many bodybuilders chase after, then you need to make sure you're including BCAAs into your diet. Additionally, BCAAs also help with the reduction of muscle soreness and also increase the overall recovery of your muscles after they've been broken down during your workouts.
OXYWHEY MACRONUTRIENT BENEFITS
For each serving of OxyWhey, you will be obtaining an extraordinary 24g of protein -- making it just as good, if not better, than your average whey protein product. Plus, each serving only contains 2g of carbohydrates. That's right, only two grams!
Want more? Well, one of those two carbohydrates derives from dietary fiber, one of the healthiest forms of carbohydrates one can find. Finally, each serving only possesses at most 130 calories -- perfect for any individual who is on a strict diet.
EHP LABS OXYWHEY INGREDIENTS
Well it’s no secret since it’s clearly stated on the label: Medium chain triglycerides, L-glutamine, and L-leucine are the top three factors that put OxyWhey leaps and bounds above the competition. Let’s look at each of these powerful ingredients separately.
Medium chain triglycerides
These are very potent compounds that can be found in coconuts in the wild. The huge pile of evidence points out that medium chain triglycerides help to increase metabolism in the body. In fact, medium chain triglycerides are metabolised differently as opposed to other compounds. Upon intake, they are not broken down as normally, but go directly in the liver instead. These ingredients have a positive effect on the heart and can provide a long-lasting energy for extended exercise sessions at the gym.
This is a very important amino acid that constitutes 60% of all the amino acid profiles in the skeletal muscle. One of L-Glutamine’s many functions is to guard the immune system against both internal and external attacks – which is crucial for maintaining a good health. In addition, L-Glutamine replaces the lost amino acids after a strenuous workout as well. Interestingly enough, L-Glutamine is a conditional essential amino acid – meaning it’s essential in certain circumstances when the body cannot produce enough of this compound. This is what makes L-Glutamine supplementation crucial for pro athletes who lose lots of nutrients due to excessive physical and mental stress. The positive stress, of course, that elicits sharp highs long after you’ve finished with your workout. Did we mention that L-Glutamine is also necessary to prevent potential protein breakdown, among other benefits?
On top of the already existing leucine found in whey protein – EHP Labs OxyWhey contains an additional L-Leucine to leave nothing to chance. When users take whey protein in combination with additional L-Leucine – the end results are far better as opposed to taking just whey protein alone. Simply stated, L-Leucine supplementation leads to greater endurance, better focus, and more lean muscle mass for a healthy and ‘durable’ body. All of these claims are supported by a 2006 study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. Interestingly enough, the researchers concluded that L-Leucine and whey protein supplementation provides an ergogenic effect (increased physical performance) among those participants that took this ingredient combination.
THREE TYPES OF PROTEIN
OxyWhey has the luxury of providing three types of protein for each serving: Whey Isolate, Whey Concentrate, and Micellar Casein. They are distributed at a 7:2:1 ratio, meaning for each serving of OxyWhey, 70% of the total 24g of protein is from whey isolate, 20% from whey concentrate, and 10% from micellar casein. What is the difference between the three types? We've broken it down for you.
This is the most basic form of protein. It gets the job done in terms of protein synthesis and muscle recovery, however, it still contains a high portion of fats and carbohydrates.
A distilled and filtered form of whey concentrate. Whey isolate undergoes more processing and can be absorbed by the body more quickly than whey concentrate, making it an optimal post-workout choice (and is why it makes up 70% of the overall protein in this product.)
This is a slow-digesting protein that can keep your stomach fuller for much longer. Therefore, it will have a longer effect on your muscles. It is especially helpful to take micellar casein before bed, as it will keep your muscles properly fueled even as you sleep.
